Julliard-trained duo offers ‘a breathing space... part playing, part praying’

They call themselves “N2K” and they aim to strengthen communities through music. Not just any music, but healing music, the unusually-paired tones of the vibraphone and the violin.

Norm is interviewed by Fr. Michael Manning, host of the program "The Word in the World." "Jazz Reflection" -- finding God in the spacious freedom of jazz music.
Since offering his first jazz vespers on All Saints Day in 1998 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Riverside, he has presented 180 others. All have been at Episcopal churches, “although I am sensing the Spirit moving me to widen the circle of relationships,” Freeman said.
